The Commissioned Arts Festival is a free multicultural family event to celebrate people’s creative artistic skills and to provide an event to allow artists to share their creations.

We will have a variety of arts and crafts for sale, including items from Ethiopia.

There will be a Creativity Station for children and families to create art, listen to stories and learn to write poetry.

In addition, we will be offering a Creative Performing Art Space for artists to share  dance and musical creations.

We will have some food, including Turkish food, macarons, and several food trucks (Mister Softee and Tchuvis).

There will also be a silent auction with a wide variety of items.

Commissioned is a fundraiser for the Horn of Africa (USA) – hornofafrica.org –  which works in some of the most difficult places in the Horn of Africa and beyond and works with indigenous leaders to alleviate extreme poverty through health care, construction projects and women’s empowerment initiatives.
